{"id":74,"date":"2012-01-29T20:06:39","date_gmt":"2012-01-30T04:06:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/carolineadejong.com\/?p=74"},"modified":"2012-01-29T20:06:39","modified_gmt":"2012-01-30T04:06:39","slug":"for-i-am-a-knight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/carolineadejong.com\/?p=74","title":{"rendered":"For I am a Knight"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"top\" \/><em>\u201cMy heart fills with sadness as I leave my chosen lady behind.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>She is the spiritual love of my life and the picture that takes me home.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I wear her colors, green and maroon, around my neck for honor.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I know she is proud of who I am and who I will be.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I see her face every time I am at a loss.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I see that she does not want me to miss her toss.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Even though miles lay between us, in our hearts, we are closer than can be.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>She knows I have to fight.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>She knows we have our rights.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I know she remembers me most at night.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>But what is wrong with this year of 758?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The strongest castles fall and are besieged.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Our ladies weave and worry for our homecoming.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Why can\u2019t we have peace?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Why doesn\u2019t anyone have faith in peace?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>My lady has faith in peace in years to come.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I have faith in peace in years to come.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Why do I exert this proud allegiance for my country?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>For I know harmony will come soon.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>For I am a knight.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cMy heart fills with sadness as I leave my chosen lady behind.
